The text runs into the gutter throughout this book and text also runs off the edge of a few pages throughout this book. On the plate opposite page 130, the following text has been cropped along the gutter: "Journ., Bombay Nat. Hist. Soc., Map." The plate after page 281 should read under the imagery: "The Woodcock, Scolopax rusticula, 3/4 size". The Plate opposite page 678 is Plate VII and the plate opposite page 702 is PLate XI. On the plate opposite page 837, the following text was cropped along the gutter: "Sections of Calycopteris Floribunda." Under the imagery on the plate opposite page 901, it should read: "The Painted Snipe, Rostratula capensis, [female], 3/4 size". The following text was cropped along the gutter on PLate XIII (opposite page 985): "A.-Dwarf Ground-Rattan (Rhapis flabelliformis, L. f.)., B.-Silver Tjatch Palm (Thrinax argentea, Lodd)."
